We now have the new Honor 4X on the racks. With the former catching the limelight spot, Honor 4X is not you would want to own.
The new edition packs a 64 bit chipset. Kirin 620 SoC is the octa-core chipset that would be replacing the Snapdragon 410 SoC from the older ones. It also sports a change in the graphics by preferring the Mali 450 GPU over the previously used Adreno 306 GPU.
Apart from all that, alterations are only feeble, but they have been made well intact to be a worthy smartphone in the mid-range section.
Huawei has announced that there would be two variants of the Honor 4X smartphone; the model packing 1GB RAM and another with 2GB RAM.
While the former is priced at 799 Yuan, tallying to $129, the 2GB model is priced around $162 (999 Yuan).
Running on the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, Honor 4X puts a 5.5 inch display unit on its front that packs a 720p resolution. With 8 GB storage offered in the device, Honor 4X also offers support for expanded storage via micro SD.
While the primary camera is of 13 MP, the front-cam offers snaps at 5MP quality.
It also comes with the proprietary Emotion UI interface and will be carrying a 3000 mAh battery to serve the power requirements. However, Huawei has kept certain elements under uncertainly which includes the support for Dual-SIM and LTE technology.
Honor 4X will be commencing its sale across China on December 23rd, with the pre-orders having already begun for the mid-range smartphone.
It is however unclear of when it would be barring the homeland borders for an international sale. The device would be available in the shades of black, white and gold.
