On their home soil, Bangladesh would be eyeing to revise their ODI results before the year concludes as they host Zimbabwe for the five match ODI series starting today at 1:30 p.m. local time.
The whitewash win in the test series has given them the upper hand over their opponents, but still when it comes to ODI, the two teams are yet to make a point.
The home team are yet to taste a win in the ODIs this year despite having a major share of matches at home. That would be certainly improved when they face Zimbabwe, who are placed below them in the ICC tables.
Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to field first.
The squads are:
Bangladesh: Anamul Haque, Mahmudullah, Tamim, Mominul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Mashrafe Mortaza*, Arafat Sunny, Al-Amin Hossain, Rubel Hossain
Zimbabwe: SF Mire, RW Chakabva,Sikandar Raza, V Sibanda, BRM Taylor, H Masakadza, E Chigumbura T Panyangara, J Nyumbu, TL Chatara and T Kamungozi.
Much of the burden will be heavily lying on the shoulders of Shakib Al Hasan who has not let down with his performances in the recent times.
Skipper Mashrafe Mortaza will also wish for the on-field performances of Tamim Iqbal and Mahmudullah in recent games to be carried through.
Top order is a section which the team would want to stabilize with Imrul Kayes and Anamul Haque likely to open the line-up in the game at Chittagong.
The list of TV channels that will telecast the series live in various countries is as below:

Zimbabwe are being billed as underdogs, but their records in the 50 over games are bettered than that of the home team, though being unimpressive.
Their only win came against Australia back at home. And if clinching the series without a loss, the visiting team could lift themselves up ahead of their opponents in the table, which however do seems far beyond reach.
A young attack is what Zimbabwe are deploying in their final trials ahead of World Cup. Tinashe Panyangara and John Nyumbu will be leading the bowling front while much of the batting duties will be hovering around the opening pair of Hamilton Masakadza and Sikandar Raza.
In the absence of Prosper Utseya, the team would also wish for a revamp in the poor run by Brendan Taylor if to make the mark before ending this year.
