Sparking off the 3 ODI series, Pakistan and Australia will fight against one another for the 1stODI at Sharjah on October 7, 2014.
Australia won the toss and will bat first. The match starts at 3.00 p.m. Local time, 4:00 p.m. Pakistan time.
The focus for both the teams will be spin, although there are many misses on both sides.
Pakistan starts the series sans their top bowler Saeed Ajmal, who has been banned from the game for his bowling action. Given the kind of game at Ajmal played for the team, there is no way to find a replacement, though filling the gap is essential.

Skipper Misbah-ul Haq will certainly have to look forward, while the coach Waqar Younis has his worries with the team format and form, given the poor batting output in the T20.

The main players for them will be Zulfiqar Babar and Raza Hasan, who have performed well in the recent times. Hasan worked his best in the T20 and will look for the same magic again.
Also, Pakistan’s all rounder Mohammad Hafeez will be missing the ODI series owing to an injury in the last match.
The match will be broadcasted live on Tens Sports in India and on Fox Sports in Australia. Zee Cinema in UK and PTV in Pakistan will telecast the match.
Australia, on the other hand, is without captain Michael Clarke for a hamstring injury. Shane Watson is out for an ankle injury, while Mitchell Marsh will also miss for a hamstring injury.
However Skipper George Bailey and his side will look for some fun and will not take Pakistan easily.
Given the heat in Dubai, the game surely promises more.
