For the Cape Cobras, the team comes under much pressure, after they lost JP Duminy due to a knee injury while he was playing for the national team. However, they do have a few names to reckon with, and since they are facing the Northern Knights for the first time, some clashes should be interesting.
Star Sports in India will telecast the match live, while Star Cricket will broadcast in regions like Singapore, Nepal, Maldives, Hong Kong, and South East Asia. The match will be live PTV sports/Ten Sports in Pakistan.
Northern Knights started their tournament qualifiers with a bang, and have won most of the matches against worthy opponents. The new pack of bowlers remains their main strength, and since they have been in India for more than three weeks, the acclimatizing is done.
Cape Cobras will be looking to Hashim Amla, especially when Duminy isn’t around. While Amla has taken time to open to the format, he has done exceptionally well. Richard Levi is equally good and potent, while Ontong Justin and Kemp Justin are capable of much damage.
The team also has Robin Peterson and Vernon Philander, who are good all-rounders to trust.
For the opponents, it’s Tim Southee and Trent Boult who have done exceptionally well in the qualifying stage matches and are expected to pick wickets fast. Northern Knights will have the top order with Anton Devcich, Kane Williamson, and skipper Daniel Flynn. While the top three are expected to set the stage, there is also Scott Styris and Daniel Harris for the needed middle action order.
