Much talked about satirical Bollywood film “Finding Fanny” has released across screen and India on September 12, 2014.
What makes “Finding Fanny” worth a check is its amazing cast that is led by Deepika Padukone, and followed by Arjun Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia, Naseeruddin Shah and Pankaj Kapoor.
Ever since the film was announced, there has been a lot of buzz on how this unique Bollywood film set in Goa would turn out. “Finding Fanny” follows the story of these five oddball characters, who are in search of ‘Fanny’- Naseeruddin Shah’s character’s first love.
“Finding Fanny” had its premiere quite a few days back for the press and industry, and the findings have been more than positive. The movie directed by Homi Adajania has been released in both English and Hindi, which is unique for Bollywood in many ways.
Produced by Maddock Films and distributed by Fox Studios, “Finding Fanny” is aimed at the youth and multiplexes where it is expected to get best numbers.
The screen count of “Finding Fanny” is lower side (lower than 1500), given the kind of theme it has and mostly the cities are expected to churn the big money for this one.
The movie also has to battle with another release of the week, “Creature 3D”, which is aimed at the masses.
With a new cast in focus, the first day collections of “Finding Fanny” should be close to 4-6 crores, depending on how the first shows go.
