Xiaomi Redmi 1s effect; Mi3 Sales to be discontinued in India

The Chinese hyped smartphone Xiaomi Mi3 might not be available for sale in India anymore. Just after the launch of the new Xiaomi handset Redmi 1S on August 26, 2014, the company will be focusing more on their new product and as such they might stop the sales of Xiaomi Mi3 in India at least temporarily.

Though the reports are ambiguous, sources say that once Xiaomi has one visibility and data points they might venture into the Indian market again.

Though the Chinese company had underestimated the demand in the subcontinent as far as the Mi3 was concerned they have learnt their lesson.

You can buy the Redmi on Sept 2 at Flipkart.com here.

The Redmi 1S will be more in volume catering to the needs of all potential buyers. Xiaomi will be carrying the goodwill that they have developed over the sales of Mi3 which will be an added advantage to their flagship products, Redmi Note and Mi4.

There have been certain contradictions made on the part of the Xiaomi authorities. Some say that if Mi3 is discontinued it will leave the brand with just one phone in the market and while the brand is doing so well there is no point stopping the sales of their most preferred handset.

Currently the brand will be focussing more on their new launch but as it seems after a few weeks of undivided attention and support, Xiaomi Mi3 will again be continued in the market.

Currently no more sales of Mi3 and the same is not expected to happen any time soon.
