Death Row Records founder and rap mogul Marion, Suge Knight was shot on August 24, 2014 during an early morning shooting at a packed nightclub just prior to the MTV VMA party on Sunday.
As per the Los Angeles County sheriff’s sergeant he is expected to survive along with two other victims who are also being treated at a local hospital.
Knight was one of three club patrons struck by gunfire around 1:30 a.m. at 1OAK on West Hollywood’s Sunset Boulevard.
Authorities are still looking out for a suspect but have not let out anything until the primary investigations are done. R&B singer Chris Brown, who was co-hosting a party at the nightclub with Pia Mia were not hit by the gunfire but were amused and stunned by what had happened.
Owing to strict medical privacy laws, no information about Knight’s treatment has been released though reports say that he is expected to survive the gunshot.
Knight, however, has been in and out of jail over the past two decades due to parole violations and physical attacks relating to a “rap war” he fueled with East Coast artists. There are yet no leads if this could be responsible for what had conspired at the nightclub.
If we recall, Knight has been shot before, in 2005, he was struck in the leg during an MTV awards pre-party in Miami Beach. It seems that Knight has some serious and grave connection with the MTV awards.
We all hope that the star has a speedy recovery.
