Steve Saleen’s glorious take on the 2015 Ford Mustang has made a surprise early appearance via his firm’s official Twitter account, though admittedly gives little away about the modified muscle car.
It’s the stuff of dreams – the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang has poked its considerable nose out of the bag a fair whack earlier than we’d come to expect. Steve Saleen apparently couldn’t wait to get his uber-tuned version of the 2015 Ford Mustang out in the wild, so has treated the world to a tasty tidbit of what’s to come.
Based in Southern California, Saleem’s tuning shop has become synonymous with taking the already iconic Ford muscle car and putting it on a healthy diet of steroids and amphetamines. So far he’s only shared a picture of the Mustang’s front, but it’s more than enough to confirm he and his guys haven’t been stingy with the tweaks and mods for the 2015 model year.
With a big dollop of matte-black and generally beefing up of the grilles, it’s been rather controversially suggested that the Saleen 302 Mustang looks at least a little like the latest Chevy Camaro.
As for what’s to come under the hood, not a word has been spoken so far but it’s probable the standard 420BHP V8 will have been upped to around the 500BHP mark at least.
Other than that it’s all a bit thin on the ground – we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more info as it pops up.
